Creating a Custom Image Bot in Poe
We’ll first begin by by creating a custom image bot within Poe which we will use for generating these images.
By creating a Poe image bot, powered by Recraft Ai we can ensure that certain parameters or ‘rules’ are consistently applied to every image generated.
Using a bot in this way is helpful, since it maintains continuity and consistency in the visuals for our story, ensuring that things like wall tiles are alike, that the windows all have similar bars on them, etc
Steps to Create An Image-Bot in Poe:
- Access the Bots Feature:
- In the Poe app, navigate to the “Bots” section.
- Create a New Bot:
- Click on “Create Bot” and give it a name, such as “OneFlewImages”.
- Select Recraft AI as the Backend:
- Choose Recraft v3 as the backend LLM for your bot.
- Define the Initial Prompt and Parameters:
- Set up a base prompt that includes the consistent elements you want in all images
Example Base Prompt for an Image Bot:
Generate photorealistic images with a fixed point-of-view.
Depict the view that would be seen through the eyes of an individual who is in a psychiatric rest hospital.

Now that our bot is ready, let’s generate our first image.
The purpose of this image is to communicate what it might feel to be the main character of our story, who is someone that never leaves their hospital bed.

Result:

To generate even more effective image prompts, we can use another cutting-edge Ai within Poe called “o1 Preview”
We can simply tell the Ai about our story, paste the whole thing to it, and ask it to generate image prompts that we can then give to our Image Bot.
Using o1 Preview to Create Image Prompts
- Provide the Re-imagined Story to o1 Preview:
- Copy and paste the text of “One Flew Over: Through Still Eyes” into the chat with o1 Preview.
- Ask for Image Prompts:
- Request that o1 Preview generates a list of image prompts based on the story.
